PROM TEAM

The Ghost Lights

Prom committee

The Ghost Lights (Robin Hodge & Zoe Towne) keep the Magic Machine in perfect Harmony! But will the best friendship forever survive being the dual heads of the Prom Committee?

That's a solid maybe.

Learn more about these two weirdos here.

Kim Valentine

Art Director

Ottawa’s own Kim Valentine, plant mother and lover of bees, has been making art of all kinds for over half a decade.

In her Centretown studio lovingly dubbed The Artery, Kim used oil paints to create pieces that have been displayed at local venues such as Carben, Wilf and Ada’s, The Tea Party Cafe and others.

Recently, Kim has been exploring fibre arts, including feminine-inspired pieces she lovingly calls Woolvas. Dodging the quick paws of her two curious cats, Kim uses wool to show the natural beauty of all women everywhere.

Check out more Kim here!

THE BANDS

Jumpin' Joel Flash & The Magic Machine

CKCU 93.1 FM

On November 14, 1975, Canadian radio history was made. When the strains of Joni Mitchell’s 'You Turn Me On, I’m a Radio' transmitted over the airwaves at 93.1 FM, CKCU became the first campus-based community radio station in Canada!

In the ensuing years, CKCU has continued to be a pioneer in community broadcasting, carrying out our mandate of providing an alternative to commercial radio and the CBC as a voice for the many Ottawa communities not served by the mainstream media.
